Medical Assistant Opportunity

Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate pre- and post-operative patients on medical procedures and instructions.
  • Prepare and administer injections, label, and record in electronic health records.
  • Assist providers with procedures such as casting, splinting, and removal of sutures and staples.
  • Open and prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and clean exam rooms and autoclave instruments.
  • Chart patient information accurately, including medical history and surgical information.
  • Perform sterile dressing changes and refill medications according to provider protocols.
  • Order tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, and lab draws, as requested by providers.
Requirements:
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Medical Assistant Registration required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
