Job Summary

Certified Medical Assistants work closely with a team of staff, including physicians and advanced-level providers, to deliver high-quality patient care. Their duties include assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications, and performing tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. Additionally, they are responsible for front desk, patient registration, insurance billing, and payment collection/cashiering, as well as patient care responsibilities. They actively support and incorporate the mission and core values into daily activities, treating all others with respect and demonstrating excellence, justice, and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider.
  • Provide front desk, patient registration, insurance billing, and payment collection/cashiering services.
  • Support patient care responsibilities, including preparing patients for exams and procedures.
  • Actively support and incorporate the mission and core values into daily activities.
  • Treat all others with respect and demonstrate excellence, justice, and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a Certified Medical Assistant Program.
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some College coursework or training.
  • 2 years of recent experience working as a Medical Assistant.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.
