Role Responsibilities
* You will spearhead the definition and execution of product, process, and package qualification, along with reliability stress testing from the design phase through to successful qualification.
* Collaborate on Design for Reliability and Design for Test initiatives to guarantee optimal stress-ability and testability.
* Oversee all preparatory activities for qualification, including corner skew materials, BIB/Socket configurations, waveform adjustments, electrical biasing, thermal effects, and lifetime estimations.
* Implement Process of Record (POR) for workflows and workmanship standards while supervising product performance.
* Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure critical objectives are met prior to engineering, pre-production, and production releases.
* Lead investigations and resolutions for qualification discrepancies and product/process nonconformance through Failure Analysis (FA), Corrective Action Reports (CAR), 8D reports, and comprehensive documentation.
* Support Product Change Notifications (PCN) or Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) as necessary.
* Perform supplier audits as required.
* Analyze yield and correlation data across all testing levels, utilizing statistical methods and Pareto analysis.
* Guide suppliers towards continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Proven experience in semiconductor engineering, particularly in Reliability and/or Quality/Product Engineering roles within multinational corporations.
- Exceptional communication skills are essential.
- Familiarity with JEDEC reliability standards, quality protocols, ISO regulations, and the underlying scientific principles.
- A strong background in silicon product reliability qualification and lifetime behavior modeling is preferred.
- Knowledge of reliability failure modes associated with silicon and packaging technologies.
- Experience in defining hardware setups and equipment for various reliability tests, including life, environmental, ESD, and Latch-Up tests.
- Proven track record in auditing supplier sites, materials, and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to drive supplier performance in silicon fabrication, packaging, assembly, testing, and ongoing reliability monitoring.
- Understanding of process flows, specifications, and the supervision of supplier performance metrics (Cpk, yield, qualification reports, etc.).
- Knowledge of FAI practices to validate supplier outputs prior to production stages.
- Willingness to travel as required for the role.

Compensation & Benefits
- At Apple, the base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This allows for growth and advancement as you develop in your role. The base salary range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, contingent upon your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to participate in our discretionary employee stock programs, potentially becoming shareholders. Additionally, employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through our Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Our benefits package includes comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for educational expenses related to career advancement at Apple.
