  • Offer guidance and support to systems developers, administrators, and IT professionals to ensure the accurate and timely application of IT security standards for both new and existing systems.
  • Maintain, manage, and ensure the integrity of all security documentation, including standard operating procedures and user manuals that outline the implementation of IT security policies.
  • Assist in identifying minimum-security controls to establish a baseline for preventing security breaches, documenting these controls in the security plan and initial Risk Assessment Report (RAR), and formulating an approved continuous monitoring strategy.
  • Document the implementation of security controls in the security plan, providing a detailed description of the control implementation, including expected inputs, behaviors, and outputs.
  • Conduct security assessments to verify the correct implementation and functionality of security controls, ensuring they meet established security requirements.
  • Implement remedial actions on security controls based on findings from the Security Assessment Report and reassess remediated controls as necessary.
  • Review vulnerability assessments and ensure appropriate responses to identified vulnerabilities, troubleshoot security threats, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze system logs daily to identify security trends and evaluate the effectiveness of installed security measures based on reported issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage tasks through project management tools.
