Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of patients' conditions and provide periodic evaluations and summaries, develop care plans, and document clinical/progress notes on the date of service.
  • Collaborate in the development and periodic revision of the physician's treatment plan.
  • Assist the physician in evaluating patients by performing diagnostic and prognostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
  • Administer treatments to alleviate pain and/or enhance or restore function to maintain optimal performance.
  • Document and report to the physician any changes in the patient's condition or response to treatment.
  • Educate families on the patient's comprehensive physical therapy program, including the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure or certification by the state as a Physical Therapist.

Preferred:

  • One year of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Fine motor skills for using tools and equipment.
  • Visual and auditory acuity to assess patients' conditions and communicate effectively.
