Department Overview:

The University of Kentucky (UK) is thrilled to announce openings for multiple Grant Specialists within the newly established Collaborative Grant Services (CGS) department.

Position Overview:
This role is a key component of an initiative aimed at enhancing administrative support for sponsored research. The Grant Specialists will deliver high-quality, customer-oriented, and compliant research administration support to a diverse group of researchers, including faculty, staff, and students engaged in pioneering research across various fields.

With team members currently operating remotely across the United States, this position offers an excellent opportunity for remote work. For those located near Lexington, KY, hybrid work arrangements may also be an option.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the development of sponsored project proposals, including budget formulation.
2. Facilitate the internal approval process for proposal submissions.
3. Provide ongoing support through data entry and analysis within various sponsor and university proposal-related systems.
4. Stay informed and knowledgeable about sponsored project policies and relevant university regulations.
5. Deliver outstanding customer service through prompt responses and follow-ups related to these responsibilities.

Qualifications:
The minimum education and experience required for this position includes:
- A Master’s degree with one (1) year of relevant experience, or equivalent qualifications:
- A High School diploma or GED with seven (7) years of experience
- An Associate's degree with five (5) years of experience
- A Bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of experience
- A Doctorate degree with no prior experience

Relevant Experience:
Experience in grant proposal development, grant management, grant administration, finance, accounting, budgeting, program coordination, and/or administrative roles is highly valued.
