Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team at LandPro Equipment, LLC. As a key member of our Service Department, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and directing the workload to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Workload Coordination: Assist in assigning jobs and work areas to Service Department employees based on their skills and knowledge.
  • Repair Order Management: Assist in the appraisal of repair orders coming into the Service Department and may participate in repairs. Review repair orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Technician Support: Direct and assist in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians and apprentices.
  • Work Order Management: Bill a portion of workday time on work orders and assist in repairs as necessary and as directed.
  • Tooling and Equipment Management: Recommend new tooling as required and assist in the reconditioning of used equipment and setup of new equipment.
  • Customer Communication: Advise the Service Manager of all customer complaints and assist in resolving issues.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and schedule all in-house technician training and assist the Service Manager with conducting quarterly safety meetings.
  • Leadership and Supervision: May fill the Service Manager role in their absence and assist in providing performance feedback for service technicians.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Service Technician, preferably in the Agriculture Industry/Ag equipment sector.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Ability to lead others, familiar with John Deere and competitive products, and ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Forklift license preferred.
