Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong background in fire protection technology, with experience working on fire alarm and suppression systems. They will be responsible for evaluating and selecting standard engineering techniques and procedures for installation, maintenance, and repair of these systems.

In this role, you will assist in the design of larger and more complex fire safety systems projects, conduct investigations and surveys to assess current systems, and ensure all work complies with applicable codes and standards.

You will also monitor system performance, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to cost efficiency. Additionally, you will collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless integration of fire safety systems within the overall safety infrastructure of the facility.

This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required as a basic educational foundation.
  • Technical or vocational training in fire technology, electrical systems, or a related field is highly recommended.
  • NICET III Certification in fire alarm systems or fire suppression systems is highly valued.
  • State licensing may be required in some states.
  • Able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance and possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Relevant experience working with fire alarm and suppression systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Project assistance experience in designing and implementing larger and more complex fire safety systems projects.

Location and Salary

This role will be based in Chantilly, VA, with occasional travel to Springfield, VA. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
