Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team in Cape Elizabeth, ME. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact in the educational journey of young learners with diverse learning needs.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of special education experience and be certified in Maine State Certification in Special Education. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field is required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students' needs.
  • Monitor progress and adjust instructional methods to support reading, math, and writing skills.
  • Provide targeted interventions for students to help them meet their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support seamless transitions from Pre-K to Kindergarten.
  • Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress and plans.
