Physician - Addiction Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time physician to join our team at MedMark Treatment Centers in Morgantown, West Virginia. As a part of our team, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve long-term recovery and improved quality of life.
Primary Responsibilities:- Admit patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment, ensuring a thorough understanding of their medical history and physical condition.
- Provide medical coverage for the Medical Director during vacations, attendance at addiction meetings, and personal absences, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Conduct thorough history and physical exams, documenting findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Enter orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or write buprenorphine prescriptions, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors, and Dosing Nurses to consistently monitor patient dosages and adjust as needed.
- Consult on high-risk patients and conduct annual medication reviews, ensuring the highest level of care.
- Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
- Board certification or eligibility in Addiction Medicine is preferred.
- Addiction Medicine specialty is required.
- Must be licensed in the state of West Virginia or able to obtain a license within 90 days.
- Must have a DEA license in West Virginia and be eligible for Medicare participation.
- OBOT patient services opportunity potential with X-Waiver.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
