Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in new construction with a strong focus on MEP systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Thorough understanding of new construction and MEP trades.
- Technical expertise in various superstructure types, MEP system types, and base building integration.
- Experience in BIM Coordination.
- Familiarity with OSHA 30 and Procore, with a proven track record of managing trades on projects exceeding $25 million.
- Proficient in CAD software for takeoffs and construction detailing, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Blue Beam.
- Knowledge of local codes, regulations, and processes in New York City.
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to excellence.
- Strong communication skills and effective leadership qualities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily on-site MEP construction activities, including oversight of third-party vendors and contractors.
- Facilitate meetings with jobsite foremen.
- Evaluate MEP-related modifications and coordination challenges in the field.
- Ensure project adherence to timelines and budgets by managing approvals, deliveries, and cost controls, as well as reviewing submittal documentation.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of the project schedule.
- Review construction documents to identify potential constructability issues related to MEPFP.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers and the Design team to ensure accurate coordination.
- Lead BIM Coordination efforts.
- Guide the construction document coordination phase and assess document packages for procurement.
- Develop comprehensive scopes of work.
- Manage the permitting process with relevant governmental entities.
The selected candidate will engage in both on-site and office-based responsibilities.
