Shawmut Design and Construction is seeking a skilled MEP Estimator to join our team. As an MEP Estimator, you will play a critical role in the development of accurate and comprehensive estimates for MEP systems in various construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with project teams to plan and scope MEP projects, ensuring timely correction and early detection of potential issues.
- Review drawings and generate comments to identify constructability issues, value engineering opportunities, and incomplete scope of work.
- Produce MEP estimating budgets, ensuring all components are included and price estimates are accurate and realistic.
- Provide MEP budgets from conceptual documents, ensuring all MEP systems are accurately estimated and all system components are included.
- Strong understanding of MEP market, equipment suppliers, and subcontractor base.
- 5-7 years of experience in MEP and construction estimating.
- Excellent knowledge of MEP systems and components, with the ability to scope and analyze MEP bids.
- Project experience in complex renovations, ground-up construction, and build-outs.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of estimating processes and delivery methods.
As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $185,000, depending on experience and qualifications. You will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with company match.
