Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Job Summary:
RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Imaging (80%):
- Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body with minimal supervision or repeats.
- Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and positioning them for optimal scanning.
- Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring offices, and other associates and peers.
- Communicate with doctors, nurses, patients, and family members as required.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and adhere to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Ensure a clean and organized work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Department Support (15%):
- Maintain equipment in good working order, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
- Assist with maintaining an updated MRI protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory.
- Support the training of new associates, providing resources and technical expertise.
- Other Duties (5%):
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
