Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is actively seeking a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst with a focus on photogrammetry to contribute to our Geodetic Surveys Division (SFNS). This role involves providing comprehensive photogrammetric support, including expertise in Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) processing and analysis, as well as generating point clouds from Electro-Optical (EO) imagery and co-registering diverse datasets.

As part of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) support team, you will play a vital role in enhancing geospatial intelligence for national security. Your efforts will focus on accelerating the analytical adoption of Analytic Workflow Modernization (AWM), utilizing mathematical and statistical modeling, structured analysis techniques, and sound scientific methods. You will also assist in developing strategies for data-centric research methods and automating workflows through modeling and scripting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating multi-source remote reconnaissance packages for geodetic survey missions, leveraging existing data and services.
  • Support the production of reconnaissance packages in alignment with established SOPs and standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of packages, ideally two weeks prior to deployment.
  • Collaborate with SFNS Requirements Manager, Mission Managers, and Team Leads to guarantee package accessibility and address inquiries.
  • Gather post-deployment feedback on package usability and work with senior personnel to refine processes.
  • Contribute to the revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other relevant documentation.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about the status and completion of tasks.
  • Identify potential data sources and optimization methods for package generation.
  • Assist in resolving data accessibility challenges from remote branches and field teams.

Qualifications

  • Fundamental knowledge of photogrammetry, LiDAR processing, and EO point cloud generation.
  • 1-3 years of experience in processing and analyzing LiDAR data or EO point clouds, with an emphasis on precision and error documentation.
  • Basic experience in co-registering multiple datasets to the WGS 84 reference frame and performing statistical analyses.
  • Familiarity with QT Modeler, Socet Set, or similar software for elevation or point cloud processing.
  • Basic proficiency in ESRI ArcGISPro.
  • Understanding of digital data formats, including vector and raster data.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience or coursework in geodetic or land surveying.
  • Knowledge of geodetic or statistical principles.
  • Familiarity with standard NGA products.
  • Understanding of NGA systems architecture, including unclassified cloud environments.

Work Environment

  • Typical office setting.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional CONUS travel may be required, with trips lasting up to one week, not exceeding four times per year.
