Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Loading Procedures: Prepare, sweep, and inspect trailers before loading freight to ensure a safe and efficient loading process.
  • Loading and Unloading: Use safe lifting techniques to properly load and unload freight, and select and use proper freight handling equipment to minimize damage and ensure timely delivery.
  • Cube Utilization and Weight Distribution: Plan and execute optimal cube utilization and weight distribution when loading freight to maximize trailer capacity and minimize the risk of damage or delays.
  • Freight Inspection: Count and inspect the condition of freight to ensure that it meets our high standards for quality and safety.

Requirements:

  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and protocols to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
