Job Summary

As a Warehouse Material Handler at Magnum Staffing Services, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by accurately and safely receiving, processing, and storing incoming products. Your responsibilities will include preparing, packing, and verifying products for pick-up and delivery in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, process, and store incoming product shipments with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Unload and load trucks, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Inspect shipments for damages or shortages, and initiate freight claim procedures as necessary.
  • Verify incoming delivery contents against packing lists to ensure accurate and full delivery.
  • Prepare receiving reports and note any discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Verify vendor part numbers and Johnstone Supply stock numbers for all incoming products.
  • Determine the proper bin number and/or location for incoming products, and store them accordingly.
  • Select products from inventory to fill customer orders.
  • Prepare, pack, and scan products for customer pick-up or delivery, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Process documentation necessary to ship customer orders, including bills of lading, packing lists, and small parcel manifests.
  • Load delivery vehicles and assist customers with will-call pickups.
  • Process customer returns, ensuring they are in salable condition per company policy.
  • Verify warranty paperwork and initiate warranty return processes as necessary.
  • Perform periodic cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining warehouse cleanliness and reporting any hazards to management.
  • Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment safely and in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • Maintain required certifications for hazardous materials, forklifts, and other equipment.
  • Verify customer shipments against shipping manifests for accuracy.
  • Fulfill customer orders by picking, packing, and verifying products for accurate and damage-free delivery.
  • Record sale or delivery information as applicable, and obtain customer signatures on delivery receipts.
  • Assist with periodic physical inventory counts and special duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations in a wholesale environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Ability to function effectively without constant supervision.
  • Experience driving a forklift and operating computer or barcode-driven inventory management systems.
