About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Assistant to join our team at TriStar Joint Replacement Institute. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and communicate with patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Rounds in patient waiting rooms to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Performs selected administrative duties and assists clinical staff with non-clinical tasks.
  • Scheduling and canceling patient appointments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Answering the telephone and responding to patient inquiries.
  • Verifying patient insurance and demographics to ensure accurate billing and records.
  • Collection of co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares them for medical procedures.
  • Takes patient weights and vital signs as required.
  • Prepares exam rooms with necessary equipment, supplies, and patient education materials.
  • Adheres to and practices appropriate infection control policies and procedures.
  • Assists with autoclaving of instruments where appropriate with documented training.
  • Assists with removing expired medications and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Assists with room turnover and preparation for the next patient.
  • Electronically files and retrieves medical records in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
