Job Summary:

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vehicles. With a focus on safety and efficiency, you will work independently to diagnose and repair complex issues, while also mentoring and training junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
Work with senior technicians to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively

Requirements:

3 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred
Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis and repair of complex vehicle systems
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
