Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team. This includes managing patient flow, obtaining vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, and responding to patient inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patient electronic medical records and ensure accurate documentation
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document in the chart or EHR
  • Coordinate medical refill requests and administer medications as ordered by the provider
  • Assist with patient procedures, including EKGs, spirometry testing, and wound care
  • Triage and screen patient calls, and assist with patient referrals and authorizations
Requirements:
  • Graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or achieved National Certification
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • 1-2 years of experience with an electronic health record (EHR)
  • Previous experience in a private medical office or hospital setting
  • Bilingual a plus
