We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician II to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care, perform various medical procedures, and collaborate with registered nurses to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and assistance with activities of daily living.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as blood draws, EKGs, and nasogastric tube feedings.
- Collaborate with registered nurses to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Participate in hourly patient rounding and respond to patient triggered alarms.
- Comply with The Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals and report any safety risks or adverse events.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in patient care and medical procedures. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet the needs of our patients.
