Nurse Practitioner Hematology Transfusion Service

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in the Hematology and Oncology department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematologic malignancies and those undergoing cellular therapies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic disorders.
- Develop and implement education programs for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Minimum of two years of experience in hematology oncology specialty as RN.
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
- Demonstrated competence in clinical practice, communication, clinical case management, leadership, problem identification/resolution, and teaching.
- Minimum one year of experience as NP in an academic medical center working with hematology oncology patients.
- Two years of RN experience in adult hematology/BMT and completion of a APP Oncology Fellowship within the last year.
- California driver's license (CDL) if required for position.
- Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work.
- Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.
- Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a nurse practitioner.
- Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.
- Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day.
- Current AHA BLS.
