Job Overview

The Fire Safety Systems Technician is tasked with the assessment, installation, and routine upkeep of fire extinguishers and suppression systems.

We seek a proactive, client-focused Technician who possesses strong written and verbal communication abilities. The Technician will be responsible for generating precise and comprehensive inspection reports, ensuring all necessary documentation of issues is completed. All reports must be submitted electronically using mobile devices provided by the employer.

The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently.

Position Qualifications

  • Ability to conduct testing and maintenance – Training provided by the employer.
  • Competence in completing necessary documentation; with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Proficient in using mobile technology such as tablets to document and transmit inspection records.
  • Collaborate with project managers, scheduling coordinators, and administrative staff to ensure thorough project completion.

Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that aligns with company standards.

Physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in unconventional and sometimes challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and operating lifts up to 20 feet, as well as working in confined spaces like ducts and above ceilings.

Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Preparedness to read and write in English clearly is essential.

Adherence to safety protocols and procedures is mandatory.

Flexibility in working hours is required, with some evening shifts expected.
