Job Overview

ComTec Information Systems - Auto Division is seeking a highly skilled Paint Robot Engineer to join our team in the Equipment Planning Group (EPG). The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining equipment standards and specifications for our paint shop operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement equipment standards and specifications for paint robots and circulation systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct site visits and observations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to team members on equipment standards and specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in paint robot engineering, with 5-10 years of experience in low viscosity paint robot and circulation systems, high viscosity robot and delivery systems, and bumper paint robot and circulation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of paint standards, including OSHA, PSHSR, ISO/NFPA, CSA, and ANSI.
  • Experience with project planning, controls, and software.
  • Industry 4.0 knowledge and expertise in data monitoring and setting standards.
  • Familiarity with fire safety standards and national electric codes.
  • Experience with equipment procurement and installation.
