Job Summary:

New Millennium is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and control issues in our industrial production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure personal and coworker safety in our continued growth of our safety program.
  • Troubleshoot electrical wiring, electrical controls, motor drives, and PLC issues related to plant facility machinery.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic.
  • Experience with overhead cranes and controls, roll forming equipment drives and controls, and laptop computer interface with PLC programs and controls.
  • Experience with light curtains, area scanners, and 480-volt three-phase wiring and controls.
  • 120-volt and low-voltage controls and wiring.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work with others and share knowledge and ideas in a respectful and productive manner.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to lead or follow on a job or project.
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements.
  • Willingness to continue with classes and training pertaining to the job.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Strong PLC controls and electronic motor drive experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 480 three-phase systems.
  • Experience with 120-volt controls.
  • Electrical print reading skills.
  • Robotics and automation controls experience.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
