Position Summary

The Cultivation Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Cultivation Supervisor and is accountable for overseeing daily activities within designated areas of the Cultivation Facility. Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Guiding Cultivation Agents on operational procedures;
  • Directing agents in the application of organic pesticides under the guidance of cultivation consultants;
  • Managing inventory of cultivation supplies and placing orders as necessary;
  • Collaborating with the Director of Cultivation to coordinate harvest schedules based on sales trends and supply requirements;
  • Programming and monitoring the Environmental Control System;
  • Maintaining a comprehensive database of environmental conditions;
  • Adjusting the Environmental Control System for optimal operational efficiency;
  • Providing pesticide recommendations and ensuring the sufficiency of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program;
  • Implementing policies and procedures for the cultivation facility;
  • Reviewing the Communication Binder for updates and current information;
  • Enforcing compliance with all local and state regulations;
  • Ensuring accountability among team members regarding their specific roles;
  • Upholding all company policies and procedures;
  • Ensuring all maintenance tasks are current, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and technology.

Training & Development

  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring cultivation team members;
  • Ensuring all team members are knowledgeable about products and capable of training others;
  • Participating in monthly management meetings;
  • Attending quarterly team meetings.

Business Development

  • Ensuring cultivation yields sufficient flowers to meet the needs of manufacturing and extraction processes;
  • Producing high-quality products free from pests and contaminants.

Company Culture

  • Acting as a brand ambassador and training team members to represent the brand effectively;
  • Adhering to and promoting the company's core values, including respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service;
  • Ensuring all team members align with the company's cultural principles.

Loss Prevention

  • Training all team members with the Director of Security to prevent diversion of cash and products;
  • Conducting random audits of cash and products across departments using an audit checklist;
  • Ensuring all departments perform self-compliance audits monthly;
  • Reviewing security protocols with the management team for each department;
  • Reviewing incident reports with the management team;
  • Overseeing monthly product inventory for each department;
  • Reviewing Loss Prevention procedures with managers quarterly.

Qualifications and Education

  • Must be at least 21 years old;
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience managing a diverse team;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation;
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Basic math skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Effective decision-making abilities;
  • Analytical skills;
  • Detail-oriented and proactive.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours a day with rotating shifts;
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays;
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds;
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout the workday;
  • Ability to stand for extended periods;
  • Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general tools for repairs;
  • Willingness to work in various conditions, including:
  • General office environment;
  • Extended computer and phone usage;
  • Exposure to fumes, dust, odors, heights, and noise.
