Epidemiology Research Assistant

At Cabarrus Health Alliance, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Epidemiology Research Assistant to join our Performance Management and Quality Improvement Team (PMQI). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology and data analysis, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis and review of incoming data requests to support the development of evidence-based programs and services.
- Collaborate with the PMQI team to design and implement data visualization tools and reports to facilitate data-driven decision making.
- Assist in the management of the Epidemiology SharePoint site, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the creation of a Data Hub on SharePoint, providing a centralized platform for data storage and retrieval.
- Support data training opportunities for CHA staff, promoting data literacy and capacity building.
Requirements:
- Student pursuing a Master's degree in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology, Population Health Analytics, or a related life science field.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex data insights to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in working with computer software, including databases, spreadsheets, presentations, and documents.
Time Commitment: 160 hours, approximately 15-20 hours per week.
