**Job Summary**

As an Equipment Mechanic with the State of California, you will be responsible for diagnosing and performing repairs and overhauls to engines, including inspection and replacement of broken or worn parts.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Diagnose and repair fuel, ignition, electrical, and cooling systems
* Diagnose and repair transmission systems
* Diagnose, repair, and adjust steering mechanisms and other controls
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment

**Requirements:**

* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and tools
