Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to quickly resolve problems and get production back on track.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production staff to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs, to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and company standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery to ensure smooth integration into our operations.
  • Inventory Management: Order and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts to ensure timely availability.
  • Emergency Repairs: Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance technician, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Physical Demands: Physical stamina and dexterity for handling heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, if necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associate degree in industrial maintenance, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Certification in relevant areas such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
  • Computer Skills: Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • PLC Programming: Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting.
  • Safety Regulations: Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise junior maintenance staff.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
