Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness seeking a skilled Custom Applicator to join our team in Wagner, SD. As a Custom Applicator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our customers by providing expert application services for fertilizer and crop protection products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizer and crop protection products to customers' fields, utilizing high-clearance sprayers or floaters as needed.
  • Pick up and deliver products to customers, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized support and education on products and services.
  • Assist the sales team in ensuring orders are accurate and customer needs are met.
  • Perform warehouse duties, including operating a loader, forklift, and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, load securement, and hours of service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete and document daily maintenance inspections and ensure proper equipment maintenance is performed.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in agriculture production, operations, and/or agricultural application.
  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
  • Maintain or obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays, and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins, and into the back of a trailer.
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
