Job Summary

Ascension Episcopal Day School is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children aged 24-36 months. You will work closely with our Director and other staff members to develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans that promote cognitive, physical, social, spiritual, and emotional development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans that align with the school's educational philosophy and goals.
  • Provide high-quality care and education to children, including meeting their basic needs, such as diapering, feeding, and sleeping.
  • Model developmentally appropriate behavior management techniques and promote positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers to ensure they are meeting the needs of the children and adhering to school policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with families, staff, and the Director to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • 2 years of teaching experience in an early education setting.
  • Advanced knowledge of child development, instructional design, and teaching methods.
  • Supervisory and leadership experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
