We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive athletic training services to our student-athletes, including injury prevention, assessment, management, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and provide healthcare services to varsity student-athletes, including injury prevention and management.
- Manage clinical and administrative responsibilities related to the health and safety of student-athletes.
- Work collaboratively with athletic training colleagues, athletic performance staff, and other professionals to provide a holistic sports performance model.
- Follow standard operating procedures under the medical supervision of a team physician.
- Maintain certification and license as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and the State of Maryland.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited athletic training program.
- Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Board of Certification (NATABOC).
- Maryland Licensed Athletic Trainer (or eligible to become licensed in the state of Maryland by date of employment).
- Current CPR/AED Certification (Instructor preferred).
- Master's Degree.
- Two to Five years in a college setting preferred.
- Current CPR/AED instructor.
- Experience in collision/contact sports (i.e. Men's Lacrosse) is preferred.
The general office, athletic facility, and campus environment are indoors and outdoors. Position involves sitting, although frequent movement is necessary. Walking, standing, bending, twisting, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Computer usage involving repetitive and/or wrist motion is required.
This is a full-time, twelve-month appointment, with frequent evening and weekend work required throughout the year with those dates determined by a supervisor.
