Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive athletic training services to our varsity student-athletes, including injury prevention, assessment, management, treatment, rehabilitation, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide healthcare and athletic training services to student-athletes
  • Manage clinical and administrative responsibilities related to student-athlete health and safety
  • Work collaboratively with athletic training colleagues, athletic performance staff, and other professionals in a holistic sports performance model
  • Maintain certification and licensure as required by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification and the State of Maryland
  • Comply with all policies, rules, and regulations set forth by the NCAA, conferences, and Johns Hopkins University
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training from an accredited program
  • Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Board of Certification
  • Maryland Licensed Athletic Trainer (or eligible to become licensed in the state of Maryland by date of employment)
  • Current CPR/AED Certification (Instructor preferred)
  • Familiarity with NCAA governing rules
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree
  • Two to Five years in a college setting preferred
  • Current CPR/AED instructor
  • Experience in collision/contact sports (i.e. Men's Lacrosse) is preferred
Working Conditions

The general office, athletic facility, and campus environment are indoors and outdoors. The position involves sitting, although frequent movement is necessary. Walking, standing, bending, twisting, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is required. Computer usage involving repetitive and/or wrist motion is required.
