Job Summary:

Boardwalk Pipelines, LP is seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team in Youngsville, LA. As a key member of our Engineering and Construction department, you will be responsible for providing on-site construction leadership and working closely with various teams to plan and construct safe and efficient facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site construction leadership and work closely with Engineering, Construction, Field Operations, and other Company departments to plan and construct safe and efficient facilities.
  • Participate in constructability reviews at various stages of project development and design.
  • Work closely with operations to develop comprehensive compliant project job plans, including detailed plans for all safety-sensitive tasks.
  • Manage selection and hiring of appropriate resources and provide on-site supervision for site inspection staff during project execution.
  • Work closely with Project Management teams on cost, schedule, quality assurance, RFIs, Change Orders, and other key issues to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Act as Boardwalk's authorized representative in dealing with contractors on day-to-day construction issues and in formal correspondence as needed.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with all OSHA and company safety expectations and manage as needed to ensure compliance during construction phase.
  • Manage deliveries of company-supplied materials and equipment from warehouses and vendors to minimize schedule issues and costs.
  • Represent the Engineering and Construction department on various teams and corporate initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in design and/or construction of natural gas transmission and storage facilities.
  • Strong commitment to personal and team safety.
  • Natural gas industry experience.
  • Strong oral/written communication, administrative/organization, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage facility construction schedules and processes while prioritizing multiple responsibilities and assignments.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal direct supervision, self-motivated.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel 65% of the time.

Preferred Skills:

  • 5 years of industry construction experience in a leadership role with supervision duties, managing schedule, and controlling project costs.
  • Drive to stay current on technology, industry standards, materials, and regulations.
  • Good working knowledge of DOT 192, DOT 195, FERC, OSHA, and API 1104 requirements.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED.
