Survey Manager

Job Summary:

The Survey Manager will be responsible for the estimating, management, planning, scheduling, and performance of multiple survey projects and personnel. We are looking for a candidate who will apply sound survey principles in planning, evaluating, and completing survey projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and approve field measurements and direct and assist with preparation of survey documents.
• Conduct and direct field surveys as required by scheduling or for professional supervisory and quality control purposes.
• Manage and direct field crews using state-of-the-art robotic and GPS equipment.
• Develop and implement survey project plans, including estimating, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with internal clients to provide survey support for municipal engineering projects.

Requirements:

• North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to attain within 6 months with license from another state.
• Minimum of 5 years of survey experience.
• Good management and leadership skills, including operating with a sense of urgency, managing conflict, exercising tact and patience, and providing constructive feedback.
• Working knowledge and skills in CAD and survey software, including AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to be insurable at the Firm's standard rates.
