Admissions Unit RN needed in a progressive Hospital System in Gainesville, FL.

This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • Hourly Rate: $29.73 - $43.20
  • Shift Differentials: Night Diff is $4.25 per hour and Weekend Diff is $3.00 per hour.
  • Shift Details: Days (Rotating Weekends), Nights (Rotating Weekends)
  • Sign-on Bonus – $20,000 paid over 2 years

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the department's standards and state regulations.
  • Assessing patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Performing procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, and ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
  • Administering prescribed medications, monitoring the patient for therapeutic response, and taking appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
  • Providing exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
  • Educating patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
  • Collaborating with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of acute care RN experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
