Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot operational failures of generators, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution.
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance checks on generator units, including transfer switches and major repairs.
- Install and test new generator units, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other technicians on larger projects, promoting a culture of teamwork and knowledge sharing.
- Train lower-level technicians, fostering a culture of growth and development.
- Respond quickly to job sites in case of emergency, demonstrating a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Document all work and repairs completed, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
- Adhere to safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to work in a team environment, promoting collaboration and mutual respect.
- Research and problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite of programs, with a focus on productivity and efficiency.
- Must be able to use hands/fingers to handle, or feel.
- Reach with hands and arms.
- Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. (and occasionally up to 100 lbs.).
- Be exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions (extreme heat and cold); and risk of electrical shock.
