Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Meat/Seafood Sales Associate to join our team at KJ's Market. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all customers as they approach the department, creating a welcoming and selling environment.
  • Product Preparation: Prepare knife-ready products for sale (slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to KJ's Market standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in product receiving, inventory, and storage, ensuring accurate and efficient stock levels.
  • Visual Merchandising: Price, stock, and rotate frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat/seafood in sales areas to maintain a visually appealing and organized store environment.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come into contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all products are in date and maintain high quality and freshness with products available for sale.
  • Communication: Communicate shrink issues and customer requests/concerns to management, and make PA announcements for sale and promotional items in the meat/seafood department.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and have an outgoing personality.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and sell and interact with customers.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Must be able to work in a cold environment.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
