We are in search of professionals to engage in the transformation of our client's endpoint computing landscape, with an emphasis on Windows 10 (or higher), Office 365, and other essential areas for modernizing the workplace.
This team will work together to enhance efficiency by minimizing repetitive tasks within Endpoint Technology and other client sectors, including service support and engineering.
Key responsibilities will include distributing software updates, removing outdated applications from endpoints, and providing additional services to other departments as required (such as IP migration for printers, user transitions to new hardware, and modifications to the asset inventory database).
Key Responsibilities:- Package applications utilizing tools like Microsoft Windows PowerShell.
- Create installation packages for Windows, printers, and mobile devices as necessary.
- Provide support for approximately 200,000 enterprise laptops and workstations.
- Assist with end-user hardware/software migration and upgrades.
- Deploy software updates promptly to address security vulnerabilities.
- Package systems for reimaging malfunctioning or problematic machines.
- Support and upgrade newly acquired computer systems.
- Develop automated scripts to streamline support processes.
- Conduct system health assessments and create PowerShell scripts to resolve identified issues.
- Automate application updates to reduce the need for manual packaging.
- Provide support for the installation and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office O365 and other Microsoft Office services.
- Research, assess, and develop a range of complex technological components.
- Independently install, test, and implement intricate component-level modifications within the technology infrastructure.
- Maintain and support a diverse array of complex technology components.
- Establish operational procedures for delivering top-tier technology platforms.
- Analyze and develop innovative solutions for complex issues related to availability and performance.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve problems and implement approved solutions.
- Conduct capacity and performance assessments and formulate recommendations.
- Plan and manage project tasks effectively.
- Prepare materials and deliver presentations for clients and management.
- Take a leadership role in meetings concerning specific technical projects or tasks.
- Propose and recommend innovative solutions to moderate complexity business challenges, including cost-benefit analyses.
- Foster and maintain productive relationships with suppliers, understanding and influencing their strategies and product directions.
- Develop and sustain specialized knowledge of current and emerging technologies within assigned divisions or platforms.
- Provide mentorship to less experienced IT team members.
- Perform visual inspections of all system components and escalate any unusual findings.
- Maintain project plans and notify management of critical failures or missed milestones.
- Document all solutions to problems and provide reports to share findings.
- Implement and follow quality assurance protocols.
- Develop recommendations for the introduction of new hardware/software products suitable for presentations.
- Edit documentation and trouble ticket systems to track equipment configurations and performance data.
- Monitor support queue trouble tickets to address the impact of deployment, packaging, and automation projects.
- Ensure an orderly and efficient deployment of services while providing comprehensive support throughout.
- Create change requests in compliance with existing procedures for change management.
- Deliver user assistance, training, and information sharing.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in line with company standards.
- Collaborate with diverse functional groups to achieve stated objectives.
Qualifications:
- Experience in hardware/software support for OS upgrades to Windows 10 SAC 21H2 (or higher).
- Proficiency in developing automated scripts to enhance support efficiency.
- Ability to create solutions using PowerShell, VBScript, etc., to identify and resolve issues related to Microsoft Workplace Modernization efforts.
- Experience in analyzing and resolving complex hardware and software issues in distributed systems.
- Familiarity with management systems for endpoints, including Tanium, MECM, Ivanti MDM/Neurons, and Active Directory.
- Capability to conduct tests and implement hardware/software modifications, backups, and restorations.
- Ability to provide periodic reports on system status and maintain project cost chargebacks.
- Utilization of change and test management procedures as required.
- Five years of relevant experience in a distributed computing environment is preferred.
Educational Background:
A degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field is preferred. If no degree is available, an additional four years of relevant work experience is required.
