About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join our team at Heartland Veterinary Partners LLC. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to our furry patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Admit patients and note client instructions to ensure a quality outcome.
  • Determine veterinary services required during client visits and provide care in accordance with hospital operating instructions.
  • Observe patient appearance and activity for signs of illness, disease, or discontent, and report any concerns to veterinary technicians or veterinarians.
  • Perform bathing services, including shampooing and drying, and provide grooming services such as brushing, clipping, and trimming.
  • Stay up-to-date on new techniques and trends in pet grooming and provide education to clients on products and services.
  • Ensure the grooming room and yard are clean, sanitized, and safe for patients.
Requirements
  • Experience grooming or caring for animals.
  • Previous veterinary experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on weekends as required.
  • Ability to lift patients up to 25 pounds and practice OSHA safety techniques.
