Position Overview:
The Practical Nursing Specialist (LPN) is integral to delivering quality patient care through active participation in the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under the guidance of Registered Nurses (RNs), evaluate patients' physical, psychological, and social needs, contributing to personalized treatment plans.
  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications, including IV therapy (if certified), while adhering to established protocols.
  • Participate in controlled substance accountability at the start of each shift, ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
  • Assist in minor surgical procedures and implement dietary and nutrition plans, documenting nursing interactions effectively.
  • Engage in mandatory training and meetings, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and adherence to care standards.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Preferred experience of at least one year in a clinical setting.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Certification in CPR is required.

Work Environment:
