Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a clinical environment. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in medication delivery and inventory management, providing exceptional patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and service, communicating effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Use the pharmacy computer system to facilitate patient care and manage medication inventory.
  • Participate in patient care activities that do not require the expertise of a pharmacist, such as preparing and labeling medications.
  • Retrieve, review, and perform inventory management for medications and supplies in the pharmacy.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and perform housekeeping duties in compliance with hospital and accreditation policies.
  • Participate in the onboarding and training of new pharmacy personnel.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred)
  • Certification(s) and License(s): Certified Pharmacy Technician within 2 years - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB or NHA)
