About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at a mid-sized general contractor based in the Chicagoland area. As a leader in Construction Management, Design-Build, and General Contracting, we pride ourselves on our employees and our quality of work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure that all work is completed to schedule and to the required quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure that all work is being carried out safely and to the required standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure that all plans and specifications are being followed and that any design changes or issues are addressed promptly.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure that all costs are kept within budget.
  • Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained, and that all work is carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with experience in ground up construction.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • A solid understanding of construction processes, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety regulations.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field (preferred).
