EchoStar is a leading provider of satellite communication solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer - Surface Mount Technology to join our Hughes Network Services Manufacturing division in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with business and production design teams to develop manufacturing processes for new products
  • Manage multi-shift production operations to meet daily schedules and improve efficiency
  • Work with managers and supervisors to enhance processes for Surface Mount Technology and Box Build Departments
  • Develop cost-effective processes for new products and implement production plans
  • Conduct system tests to verify efficiency, accuracy, and production process success
  • Oversee process design and project timelines, maintaining financial budgets and improving manufacturing and production processes
  • Research and purchase new manufacturing technology, implementing and transitioning it successfully
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience working in a Manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience improving processes for Surface Mount Technology and Box Build Departments
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Previous experience working in an electronic manufacturing facility
