Key Responsibilities- Registration and Scheduling: Register patients for multiple service lines, ensuring accurate and timely completion of demographic, financial, and clinical information.
- Verification and Validation: Verify the accuracy of EMPI links and identify potential linking problems, reporting any issues to ensure patient safety and data integrity.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Interact with patients and representatives to gather and verify patient information, providing clear explanations of legal documents and regulatory requirements.
- Financial Screening and Counseling: Complete financial screening questions to identify potential funding sources, and use facility contracts to discuss financial obligations with patients or representatives.
- Problem-Solving and Collaboration: Work with patients, department staff, and physicians to resolve registration issues, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
- Quality and Productivity: Maintain quality and productivity statistics, meeting or exceeding established standards.
- Customer Service Experience: Three years of customer service experience within the last five years, with a focus on negotiation or collection experience.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated typing proficiency and experience using basic computer skills, with a working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and physicians in a professional and courteous manner.
- Bilingual Fluency: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, with experience working in a medical office setting.
- Registration Experience: Registration experience on Tandem or iCentra, with a working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Interpersonal Interaction: Interact with others requiring the ability to communicate information.
- Computer Use: Operate computers and other office equipment, requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
- Visual Requirements: See and read computer monitors and documents.
- Physical Activity: Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
