About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in conducting nuclear medicine procedures using imaging equipment and radioactive materials to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct nuclear medicine procedures using imaging equipment and radioactive materials
  • Responsible for radiation safety and quality control procedures
  • Deliver patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations and dynamic tests, such as radionuclide angiocardigraphy and coronary artery imaging studies
  • Prepare and administer radioactive agents by adhering to established procedures and protocols
  • Maintain daily logs of radionuclide doses administered to patients and record of tests performed, diagnosis, and any other pertinent information
  • Maintain all records required by State and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
  • Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection during the imaging process
  • Perform other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor, or manager
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Program
  • 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine department preferred
  • Knowledge of RIS systems and PACS systems
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • CNMT (ARRT or NMTCB)
Conditions of Employment

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision, or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI fingerprint-based federal criminal records check.
