We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in conducting nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring radiation safety, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct nuclear medicine procedures using imaging equipment and radioactive materials to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
- Ensure radiation safety and quality control procedures are followed at all times.
- Deliver patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Interact with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations and dynamic tests, such as radionuclide angiocardiography and coronary artery imaging studies.
- Prepare and administer radioactive agents in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of radionuclide doses administered to patients and tests performed.
- Calibrate and check all applicable equipment, and perform scheduled cleaning and testing.
- Implement radiation safety guidelines and conduct proper radiation protection during the imaging process.
- Perform other related technologist duties as directed by the lead technologist, supervisor, or manager.
- Graduate of an approved Nuclear Medicine Program or current validated Registry from ARRT in Radiology Technology (R).
- 1 year of experience in a clinical nuclear medicine department preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- CNMT (ARRT or NMTCB) certification.
