Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operations Assistant to join our team at Packaging Corporation of America. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production lines and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Collaborate with production team members to identify and resolve production issues
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Participate in cross-training programs to develop skills and knowledge in multiple areas
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
