We are seeking a skilled Telepsychiatry Consultant to join our team at Alliance for Wellness, a well-established psychiatric group serving the Southern California area.
The ideal candidate will have experience navigating multiple EMR systems, strong technical skills, and a comfort level with technology and telehealth.
This is a unique opportunity to practice across a wide spectrum of healthcare settings, including Emergency Departments, Psychiatric hospitals, general hospitals, and crisis stabilization units.
Responsibilities- Conduct telemedicine consultations to assess patients' medical and psychosocial needs via video or telephone.
- Assess patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including intake forms, interviews, medical histories, and observations to diagnose patients.
- Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis.
- Provide medical guidance to onsite nursing staff and physician-to-physician consultation in the ED on patient floors, and in Ambulatory Tele-Psychiatry Clinics.
- Refers patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Maintains working relationships with onsite medical providers engaged with inpatient care.
- Documents patient interaction, diagnosis, treatment, etc. within the hospitals EMR.
- Licensed in California.
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills.
- Experience navigating multiple EMR systems, strong technical skills, and experience with secure video conferencing.
- Comfortable with technology and experienced with telehealth.
- Enjoy working independently.
- Must be available for both phone and video appointments.
- Ability to work 5 or more shifts per month.
- Clinical autonomy with excellent support.
- Paid occurrence-based malpractice coverage.

$180,000 - $400,000 Annual
