Job Title: Fiscal Technician

The School of Architecture at the University of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Fiscal Technician to support our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating requisitions, entering or auditing expense reports, preparing monthly reconciliations and reports, and processing payroll costing and accounting adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support faculty and staff by creating requisitions and processing financial transactions.
  • Enter or audit expense reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with university policies.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and reports, providing financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Process payroll costing and accounting adjustments, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel is required.
  • Experience working with financial information is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and inclusive.
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently.
