Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks as specified on the Repair Order with precision and efficiency, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Collaborate with the Parts Department to secure necessary components, and communicate with the Shop Foreman regarding any vehicle delays due to parts shortages.
- Inspect vehicles to identify any additional safety or service needs, and relay this information to the Service Advisor.
- Diagnose vehicle issues and carry out repairs as authorized by the customer.
- Document all work performed on each vehicle using a clear and concise format, ensuring that the customer understands the repairs conducted.
- Conduct road tests to verify the quality of work completed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, as well as uphold the cleanliness of customer vehicles.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment provided by the Service Department effectively.
- Participate in ongoing training and review technical bulletins as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- ASE certification is preferred.
- Proficient in dealership computer systems; experience with CDK software is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
